Welcome to my ongoing experiment in micro media. Video blogging is a weird and unpredictable exercise. I'm translating ideas, moments, and bits of my life into 90-second chunks of video. Feel free to let me know what you think, and thanks for visiting!

Weird and artsy. Yes, it's actually based on a dream I had recently. Pretty kooky, I know!

People I Know: Mortality, Part 6

This is part 6 of my 7 part series of interviews I have been posting for "Videoblogging Week 2006."

Today's video is long (7 minutes). I find I am feeling very protective toward the subjects of my interviews. They are relating stories that are very personal, sometimes even painful, and it's humbling to be a part of their openness. It means a lot to me that these friends and acquaintances were willing to talk about this subject. So I appreciate that the majority of the comments I've receieved have been respectful of these people, and any criticism coming along with the praise has been directed at me or the project more generally. Thanks for that.

Today's post is so long because I needed more time to do more than sound-bite justice to these stories.

People I Know: Mortality, Part 2

This week is "Videoblogging Week 2006." Today's video is part 2 in a series of 7 interviews with friends and neighbors about their ideas and experiences related to death. In the spirit of Videoblogging Week, I'll post one video every day.

This series is based on honest conversations about a topic rarely discussed. It's not intended to be morbid, but instead it's my hope that it will encourage people to think and talk about their own experiences.

People I Know: Mortality, Part 1

This week is "Videoblogging Week 2006." Along with many other vloggers, I've accepted the one-video-every-day challenge, and I'm doing so by trying something new. This week I'll be posting a series of clips from candid conversations with my friends and neighbors, about a topic we rarely discuss. I hope you'll be willing to let me know what you think.
