Welcome to my ongoing experiment in micro media. Video blogging is a weird and unpredictable exercise. I'm translating ideas, moments, and bits of my life into 90-second chunks of video. Feel free to let me know what you think, and thanks for visiting!

Lorem Ipsum, Part 6 of 15

Lorem Ipsum, part 6 of 15

This is part 6 of a 15-part story released in series through my videoblog. A new part will be released every few days. When the last part is released, the whole story will be available for download.

In part 6, Garrison visits the local library.

I've heard from a few people who are starting to wonder what is going on in this story. I guess all I can say is that it's supposed to be a bit mysterious at this point, and if you stick with the story eventually you will find out what Garrison is doing and why. I know it is taking a while for the story to be told because I'm releasing each part every couple of days. If you'd like, you can review all of the previous parts on this page. Thanks for being interested, and continue to leave comments or e-mail me davedraws[at]yahoo[dot]com.

Lorem Ipsum, Part 5 of 15

Lorem Ipsum, part 5 of 15

This is part 5 of a 15-part story released in series through my videoblog. A new part will be released every few days. When the last part is released, the whole story will be available for download.

In part 5, Garrison, after finishing his phone call with Natalie, chats with his wife Sharon about the upcoming day. He then heads out to his first appointment...

Thanks to everyone who continues to e-mail me with encouraging and constructive comments. I plan to assemble a FAQ once all the segments have been released in order to answer many of the questions you've asked. Thanks so much for watching!

Lorem Ipsum, Part 4 of 15

Lorem Ipsum, part 4 of 15

This is part 4 of a 15-part story released in series through my videoblog. A new part will be released every few days. When the last part is released, the whole story will be available for download.

In part 4, photographer Garrison receives a phone call from his grumpy cousin (and best friend) Natalie.

Feedback to this story so far has been very helpful and much appreciated. I've taken some advice from you about how to present these clips.

I've also been hearing more discussion about the interesting challenge of releasing theme connected videos through video blogging. Rocketboom's Amanda Congdon presented at the Converge South Conference about this subject (video courtesy Chris Daniel). Eric Rice had a good rant recently about subscribing to brands and content, not technology. The good folks at Omniquiti interviewed me about these ideas. It comes up in the videoblogger FlashMeeting online video chats and discussion list. There are a lot of smart people out there thinking about this stuff. Future's looking good so far!

Lorem Ipsum, Part 3 of 15

Lorem Ipsum, part 3 of 15

This is part 3 of a 15-part story released in series through my videoblog. A new part will be released every few days. When the last part is released, the whole story will be available for download from this site.

In part 3, our protagonist Garrison finishes his walk in the winter woods, then suffers through a common but difficult morning ritual.

I've really appreciated the feedback and comments I've received so far. It means a lot to me to hear from viewers, so feel free to respond to what I've made.

Lorem Ipsum, Part 2 of 15

Lorem Ipsum, part 2 of 15

This is part 2 of a 15-part story released in series through my videoblog. A new part will be released every few days. When the last part is released, the whole story will be available for download from this site.

This story is experimental in how it is told, but remains a traditional narrative in content. We've met Garrison in Part 1 (our photographer protagonist), who now continues his walk in the woods while thinking of Natalie, a woman who helped him photograph a bizarre documentation.

I'm very interested in feedback about the serial nature of the release, the story, the editing techniques and conventions I've used, or anything else you would like to comment on. Thanks very much for being my audience. I make video stories so that others can see them, and so I value the time you spend watching, and any response you may have.

This is part 1 of a 15-part story released in series through my videoblog. A new part will be released every few days. When the last part is released, the whole story will be available for download from this site.

This story is part mystery, part traditional narrative, and part experimental art film. Because it's told in a slightly unusual way, releasing it in parts is an experiment. I'm very interested in feedback about the serial nature of the release, the story, the editing techniques and conventions I've used, or anything else you would like to comment on.
